| Scope and Content | This category (TS 1-745) consists of transcripts, copies, notes etc. formerly held at the Southend Branch Record Office (1974-2005). The Branch Record Office's catchment area comprised the local authority areas of Southend-on-Sea, Rochford and Castle Point. In 2005 the whole category was removed to the Essex Record Office in Chelmsford, with the exception of microfilms that were duplicated at Chelmsford, either as films or as original documents. The category continues in use (TS 746 onwards) for material deposited at the Essex Record Office in Chelmsford but relating wholly or largely to Southend-on-Sea. |
